Undergraduate Course BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)
Duration 4 ½ academic years including 6 months of compulsory Rotatory internship.
Annual Intake 50 Seats (Convenor Quota – 30 Seats+ Management Quota – 20 Seats)
Eligibility Age: Candidates should have completed the age of17 years Qualification: a) The candidates should be of Indian Nationality or persons of Indian origin (P.I.O) / overseas citizen of India (OCI) card holders and should satisfy the local or non-local status in Andhra Pradesh (Residence requirement) as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Educational institutions (Regulations of admissions) order, 1974. b) Candidates seeking admission into Bachelor of Physiotherapy Course should have passed 2 years Intermediate Examination (10+ 2 pattern) with Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry, which shall include a practical test in each subject. or c) Any other examination of (10 + 2 pattern) recognized by the University in Andhra Pradesh or Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, with Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry, which shall include a practical test in each of these subjects. or d) Intermediate Vocational (10+2) with Bridge course of Biological and Physical Sciences or e) APOSS in Biological& Physical Sciences
Post Graduate Course MPT (Master of Physiotherapy)
Duration 2 years Course
Annual Intake Total12 Seats– Including 3 Specialties Including 1.Orthopaedics– 4 Seats (Convenor Quota – 2 Seats+ Management Quota – 2 Seats) 2.Neurology– 4 Seats (Convenor Quota – 2 Seats+ Management Quota – 2 Seats) 3.Cardio- Respiratory Diseases– 4 Seats (Convenor Quota – 2 Seats+ Management Quota – 2 Seats)
Eligibility Age: Candidates should not have completed 45 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. For candidates belonging to SC and ST’s the maximum age limit shall be 48 years. Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed BPT Course with minimum of 55% aggregate marks and 5% relaxation of marks for SC and ST candidates. Internship: Candidates who passed BPT degree of Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences or equivalent Degree and have completed 6 months internship.
